The "Duck and Cover" name comes from a civil defence film produced in 1951 by the United States government shortly after the Soviet Union began nuclear testing, using cartoon characters, especially Burt the tortoise. It's humorous nowadays to think that's going to help in the event of a nuclear war! The Duck and Cover brand shares that off-beat sense of fun over a military/guerilla detailing. The Autumn/winter Duck and Cover collection includes several new trainers and pumps with quilted and mesh outers, all embossed with the well-known Duck and Cover logo.
