Onitsuka Tiger trainers and shoes – are the high-tech athletic training-shoe arm of ASICS corp, starting life as Onitsuka Co., Ltd and Tiger Rubber Factory. A Japanese sportswear company, Onitsuka Tigers were much loved through the 1960's and 70's. The simple yet stylish Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 trainers are still a popular current design in retro mustard and green as well as black and white shoes, all with the familier crossed 'A' stripes. 2009 saw a new collaboration with BMW to produce a limited-edition "Onitsuka Tiger Mini Urban" trainer, and more specials are likely to appear next year – previous collaborations have even seen Swarovski crystal inserts!
